Historic Garden Films

At a screening for staff today, ICFA will be presenting a series of rare garden films, taken on the Dumbarton Oaks grounds in the 1930’s and 40’s.  First, our Archives Specialist, Rona Razon, will describe the “re-discovery” of the film in ICFA’s cold storage and the process of preserving it. The second part of the presentation will include commentaries from  James Carder, Archivist and House Collection Manager, and Gail Griffin, Director of Gardens and Grounds.

Read more about these films and check out some stills on the DO Conversations blog!
